Today is the day we were supposed to take pictures of the new collection, but fate had other plans. Our photographer Gavulka came down with tonsillitis, we cannot take photos until the beginning of December, but it doesn’t matter. I hope you will wait for it, just like you waited for the summer collection in September 🙂

In the spring of this year, I decided to turn Janatini into a lifestyle brand. In the summer, this became a reality as you might have seen in this article. However, I haven’t yet presented the entire Santorini collection on the blog. So now, a few days before the launch of the new collection, it is high time!

The idea for the brand was born during quarantine, as well as the first collection. It is inspired by travel, because that is what gives me new creative ideas. For me, Santorini is the visual embodiment of paradise, absolute well-being and happiness. Its colours, unbelievable views, sea, food… These are all things that take me back every year and are part of my life for several more months after my return.

The collection consists of 7 pieces of clothing, shoes and decor. They are all based on my own needs and they are all something I wore daily and with love all summer (especially to test the cut and material well before the collection went out). They are made of extremely high-quality materials imported from Italy, sewn in Slovakia and designed with an emphasis on comfort. Because comfort is a priority.

“JANATINI” JUMPSUIT

Timeless, comfortable and chic – the Janatini jumpsuit is made of extremely pleasant material. In these simple, comfortable, stylish and flowy overalls, you feel as if you are touched by a warm sea breeze. It’s like they’re caressing your skin and you don’t want it to stop. It was the first piece that I knew I had to have in my collection. You can wear them on the beach, in the city, to a meeting (with a belt), or with high heels for a night out. They are designed so that you can wear a bra or bikini top under them. They are a timeless piece that you can wear every summer, white as houses on an island.

CROP PANTS

The best-selling item in the collection is the crop pants. They are a chic replacement for sweatpants, which I don’t like very much. For maximum comfort, they have a wide cut, rubber waistband and, of course, practical pockets. They are designed in a colour that matches the rest of the collection and probably a lot of other things in your closet. They are made of the same material as the overalls – so the WOW effect is guaranteed 🙂 In the summer I wore them to the beach with a bikini, but I also wear them with a jacket for work. They are simply versatile and chic.

“SANDY” DRESS

You will not want to take off this comfortable and practical dress for every day. My goal was to design a dress for everyday occasions which you could wear all day. An oversized cut guarantees you maximum comfort, but if you want to tighten the dress at the waist, you can do so with a belt, in 2 colours. There are loops on the sides, through which you can pass it, and thus bind the dress in several ways – from the front, from the back, around the entire belt, or you do not have to use the belt at all. It also has a V shaped neckline for the optical extension of the figure, but only to the level where you can still wear a bra under it.

PINK  “OIA” TOP

Pink rarely appears on the Santorini island, which inspired my first collection. But thanks to this colour, the top stands out even more among other, neutral pieces. It is the only item with a touch of elegance, thanks to the composition of the material. It has a soft glossy finish and, thanks to the V neckline, it will beautifully extend all body types. It is an all-year-round piece that you can really wear everywhere.

KOŠEĽA “AEGEAN”

The first association I had with this fabric was the colour of the Aegean Sea, which surrounds the island. The cut of the shirt is inspired by my childhood uniform – a wide straight cut with chest pockets. It is sewn from 100% flax linen and can be worn in several ways: unfastened, fastened, or tied at the waist. It is perfect with pants or overalls, and can also be worn over the Janatini T-shirt, which you will see below.

TANK TOP A TRICKO “JANATINI”

The long-term image of “Janatini – my fashion cocktail” was perfectly captured and embodied by the talented Jana Letková (Janka Illustration). Her illustrations are unique and tailor-made – so the first “Janatini” print T-shirt could only have been hers to make. 

You can find the image on two items – a tank top and a t-shirt, both in an oversized version. The tops are made of certified 100% organic GOTS cotton, printed in Slovakia. Both the tank top and the T-shirt are limited, so they will no longer be available once sold out!

The t-shirt is unisex and is made in size L, all my friends already have one 🙂

SANDÁLE “SANTORINI”

The idea to include these handmade sandals in the collection came up on the island itself when photographing the collection. I bought them two years ago and, since then, I have them worn whenever the weather allowed. They fit perfectly with everything else in the collection – I did try them with everything throughout the summer. They are made in a family factory on the island, from long-life quality leather. It takes a few days for the shoe to “fit” you, as the skin works and adapts to your foot. When that happens, I guarantee you won’t take them off! I have been wearing my first pair for 2 years already and they still look nice.

You can’t find the golden version in the eshop anymore, they sold out in a few days. The same style also comes in natural colour, which over time changes to cognac, and a different style of white sandals, which look great on tanned skin.

Although the collection was released in August, I had worn it a few months before. It was incredibly difficult not to be able to share the joy of wearing it. At the same time, I had the opportunity to fix any bugs before starting the sale. The new collection has already been made and I look forward to it as much as this one. Can you guess which location has inspired the next one?
