Off The Shoulder Orange Top

After a very long time we have much colder and slightly rainy weekend, which I personally don’t mind, after weeks of super hot and unbearable weather. I also don’t mind because I’ve got a bit of flu (a “men flu” kind of thing so nothing too serious, just overall body ache and a sore throat). I am using this feeling of weakness and precious moments of having to be glued to my sofa to plan my next steps, writing more posts and do some editing.

Going trough the Sicily photos totally takes me back to those hot days and brings flashbacks of special memories: drinking grappa mid day on the beach; watching a super fit guy putting a cream all over his body for an hour while standing up and betting with the boys weather he is gay or straight; or feeling silly having to tan with my makeup on the last day because I ran out of my SPF.
Simply things hard to forget (unless you had too much of that grappa).

When I was packing for the holiday I realised, that I don’t have a single “off the shoulder” top.

OMG!!! I panicked.

Just to be clear: It’s my absolute favourite kind of summer top (or a dress) and somehow it has completely vanished out of my closet.
Exposed shoulders can be dramatically sexy! Much more than a short dress or a long cleavage (and not because none of those work on me at all). It has so much more to offer: showing just the right amount of skin, covering everything that should be covered, offering absolute freedom underneath of not wearing a bra and be able to unbutton your shorts after a big lunch (my case non stop).

Shopping for the last thing on the day of our flight I ran into Zara and found this orange piece in sale. Bingo!
Ruffled sleeves are one of the top fashion hits of this summer and if paired with the right – slimmer – bottom, it can be very flattering. Orange is not exactly my favourite color, but it goes very well with tanned skin, the blue sea and looks good on instagram! Paired with my fave oversized jean shorts it is the perfect outfit to enjoy a glass of wine of the back terrace of our Naxos beach apartment.
