Winter Pastels

It’s a known fact about me that I don’t like dark outfits and I never wear black (with the exception of an Armani LBD for example). I don’t like the cliché of “fall” colours and dress all moody and dark (although some past stylings of mine are exactly like that).
Why not go for pastels for once?

A nice powder pink coat has been a dream of mine for some time now. I have one already of a similar cut (you can see it in a post here), but in much thinner fabric. This one has a wool mixed in and I found it in the F&F showroom when styling a fall outfit out of their latest collection for one project. I fell in love with it and it was mine! Pink might seem a difficult colour to combine, but actually it’s not. It fits with a lot of shades – any pastel shade of course, but goes very well with grey and blue (obviously), but can look very french chic when paired with black. A great contrast. And very feminine if not overdone.

This “flowery” spot was a total coincidence to find. I met up with Jozef for a coffee and this spot was right next to it! I had my Olympus Pen in my purse so we went for it and snapped a few pics before the Sun hit the ground. And then, all of a sudden, a young gentleman came out of a flower shop and passed me this bouquet. He thought my outfit was missing something and he was right! Such a nice (and unique nowadays!) gesture that put a smile on my face for days, since they are still on my desk even today.

When was the last time you got flowers for no reason?

I hope you are having a fab weekend and that this post has brought some colors to your day!

Love,
