There are very little dresses that stay classy even when see-through. This one by Cuplé is exactly that category and it was very hard to say good bye to it at the end of Summer. I can’t wear it in Autumn … but I’ll wait!
Some people described this dress as “sneaky”. I don’t really like this term (often used by magazines) when it comes to dresses, but I guess it could apply to this one. Thanks to it’s 50s silouette it’s very feminine and very original thanks to the choice of fabric and print. What makes it more interesting are the parts that are covered at the right places and show a little skin here and there. You can wear them day to night and still look dressed up. Just be aware of the underwear …
The question here is though – go bold with it or not? I strongly dislike skin coloured underwear (although I am wearing a skin color bra right now, lol) I find it very unattractive. I do wear it sometimes due to practical reasons when I want the piece I wear to really stand out. But if the piece is see-through, I like to wear my bra in contrast color, so it shows (remember the scene in Sex and the City where Carrie wore a black bra under a white top? Thats where it all started!) It’s more orginal, playuful and sexy.
How do you wear your see-through pieces? Do you hide your bra under a skin color or do you like contrasts like me?
Have a great weekend, mine is gonna be magical! You’ll find out more on Sunday 😉
