Made In Slovakia #2 – Petra Toth Jewellery

Since my small country Slovakia has many talented (some already discovered byt many undiscovered) talents, a few weeks ago I have decided to create this MADE IN SLOVAKIA series. Today I will introduce a jewellery designer Petra Toth, who’s main inspiration are Slovakian folk ornaments. Petra has founded her atelier in 2002 and her work is known not only in her home country but also starting to spread the message of Slovakian folk art around the world. Every piece is handmade by Petra with love and precision and I am a proud owner of one of her original pieces. My fav is the one with a traditional folk ribbon with matching earrings. It’s very much of a statement piece and it’s best combined with simple dress or a skirt (I went for our national colors). The waist belt is actually also a folk ribbon inspired by our national costume. LIke it? Then find out more on Petra’s website or stay in the loop on her facebook page and let me know, what you think of the outfit 🙂
